Your mission in the Station Fintech team

Created in 2010, Finance Montréal, the Québec financial cluster, is at the heart of the development and promotion of the Québec financial services industry and its international positioning as a world-class, growing, competitive, attractive and innovative marketplace. A flagship initiative of Finance Montréal, the Fintech Station aims to develop the Fintech ecosystem of Quebec. The Station Fintech is a modern hub located at Place Ville Marie, in the heart of downtown Montreal. The Fintech hub serves as a development catalyst for Fintech start-ups while supporting corporate innovation. Over the years, multiple initiatives have been created by the team to support the growth of the ecosystem; the Fintech Canada Forum, the largest event of its kind in the country, the Fintech Station Accelerator and the AMF-Finance Montréal, a research chair entirely dedicated to the study of the impacts of financial technologies.  

Reporting to the Vice-President of Fintech & Technological Innovations, your main mission will be to ensure the quality of the support offered to the companies in the Fintech Station and to manage its acceleration programs. 

Your daily challenges

• Lead the construction, execution and continuous improvement of the Fintech Station acceleration program(s);

• Ensure the recruitment and lead the selection of high-potential companies responding to the Fintech Station acceleration offer;

• Structure the support offered to resident companies at the Fintech Station;

• Act as a dedicated advisor to a portfolio of resident companies at the Fintech Station;

• Develop and maintain relationships of trust with venture capital investors; 

• Collaborate in the organization and coordination of business meetings, B2B sessions, economic missions, and networking activities between companies and ecosystem partners;

• Collaborate transversally with the entire Fintech team, from planning to carrying out projects and initiatives (start-up programs, economic missions, events, workshops, strategic initiatives, etc.);

• Participate in the various stages of projects and initiatives, follow-ups, and relationships with our clients and partners;

• Contribute to updating data for our internal and external publications and reports;

• Coordinate and carry out follow-ups as well as accountability with regard to the mandates and projects entrusted;

• Working in collaboration with our members and the key players in the Fintech ecosystem; 

• Contribute to the strategic monitoring of the Fintech Station’s activities related to the innovations and products of the start-ups occupying the Fintech Station;

• Represent the Station Fintech and Finance Montréal at events, conferences, networking activities and meetings with current partners. s and potential.le.s.

What you need to succeed in this role

• Training in a relevant discipline

• 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in project management

• Functional bilingualism (English, French)

• Good knowledge of start-ups

• Knowledge of the Fintech environment

• Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) tools, notably Salesforce, an asset

• Excellent political acumen, diplomacy and high networking and influence skills.

• Proven ability to represent the organization with professionalism and credibility to strategic partners
