Our activities consist of bringing together players from Montréal and Québec’s financial centers, committed to finance that addresses environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, while ensuring positive impacts for the economy and communities.

To do so, the activities of the Finance and Sustainability Initiative translate into concrete actions aimed specifically at differentiating the province by the depth of its expertise in sustainable finance, strengthening collaborations between actors in Québec’s ESG ecosystem and building on Montréal's international profile as a leading financial center in this area.

The UNDP-hosted Financial Centers for Sustainability (FC4S) network is a collective of 39 financial centers working together to achieve the objectives set by the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement. Through national and regional initiatives, the FC4S Secretariat works with members to achieve this objective by providing the tools and insights to measure progress, engage local institutions and inform policy, including research on emerging issues, guidance on best practices, and strategic advice and support services. |

The mission of the Institut de la Finance Durable (IFD) is to coordinate, organize and accelerate growth in Paris's financial center to facilitate the transition to an environmentally responsible economy and establish an inclusive, low-carbon model that aligns with the objectives set out in the Paris Agreement and with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. |

The IFRS Foundation is a not-for-profit, public interest organisation established to develop high-quality, understandable, enforceable and globally accepted accounting and sustainability disclosure standards. |

Since 2008, Frankfurt Main Finance has been the financial centre initiative of the leading financial centre in Germany and the euro zone. Its more than 75 members include the State of Hesse, the cities of Frankfurt and Eschborn, numerous well-known financial market players and their service providers as well as private and public universities. Frankfurt Main Finance offers its members a platform for contacts in the world of finance and politics to realise ideas in the financial centre with partners, to initiate business with other financial centres for high quality events on topical issues, to support effective and sustainable public relations, and to effectively promote Frankfurt as a financial centre. |
