Montréal professor recognized for ground-breaking work in AI

Université de Montréal professor Yoshua Bengio has been co-awarded the prestigious  1M$ A.M. Turing Award, the ‘Nobel prize of computing’. He shares the prize with colleagues Geoffrey Hinton (University of Toronto) and Yan LeCun (New York Unversity).

Professor Bengio is a well-known artificial intelligence researcher in Montréal, the scientific director of  MILA, as well as co-founder of Element AI.
