About SASB

The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to establish industry-specific disclosure standards across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics that facilitate communication between companies and investors about financially material, decision-useful information. These standards were created by and for capital market practitioners and are gaining widespread acceptance globally (with more than 500,000 downloads from 170+ countries). They are supported by several global institutional investors with assets under management of more than USD48 trillion.
