FSI Webinar « Canada-Europe: From Action Plans to Sustainable Finance Strategies »

Throughout the year, the finance and sustainable initiative (FSI) organizes events, webinars, and workshops to allow the Quebecois community to gather, discuss topical issues and move forward together towards sustainable finance in Quebec.

In 2019, a report created by a team of experts on sustainable finance made it possible to create a set of practical and concrete recommendations aimed at stimulating the activities, structures, and behaviors essential to the market to generalize sustainable finance in Canada. Europe adopted a strategy to get the financial system that supports the European actions in climate change and sustainable development. The culmination of regulatory advances on both sides of the Atlantic and the taxonomies of environmentally sustainable economic activities are an essential step in the emergence of benchmarks of environmental practices for businesses and investors.

The objective of this webinar is to present a vision of overall progress. This progress is aimed at advancing the role of finance in building an economy, while performing well it would serve both environmental and social objectives.
